These four no bake dessert recipes are perfect to engage your kids with over the weekend.
1.Cherry Pretzel Treat
This no bake dessert combines the sweetness and tartness of cherries with the saltiness of pretzels (every kid’s favorite!).
Ingredients
- 184 gm pretzels (crushed)
- 150 gm sugar
- 170 gm butter (melted)
- 226 gm cream cheese (softened)
- 115 gm confectioner’s sugar
- 240 gm whipped cream
- 595 gm cherry pie filling
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix pretzels (reserve 21 gm for later), sugar and butter. Spread the mixture into a dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioner’s sugar until smooth. Then, fold in the whipped cream.
- Pour half of this mixture onto the pretzel layer followed by a layer of cherry pie filling. Top it with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Garnish with the remaining crushed pretzels. Refrigerate overnight before serving.

Ingredients
- 616 gm cherries (pitted)
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 100 gm sugar
- 118 ml water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- ¼ tsp almond extract
Instructions
- - Over medium heat, combine cherries, lemon juice, cornstarch, sugar, salt and water in a saucepan until the mixture comes to a bubble. Turn the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes while stirring.
- Switch off the heat. Add vanilla extract, almond extract and lemon zest and mix.
- Allow the mixture to cool for 10-15 minutes before using.
2.Frozen Cheesecake Bites
A healthy and vibrant summer treat, this healthy no bake dessert takes only 15 minutes to whip up!
Ingredients
- 226 gm cream cheese (low fat)
- 60 gm Greek yogurt (plain)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- 5 graham crackers
- 2 tbsp butter (unsalted)
- 50 gm blueberries
Instructions
- Beat cream cheese in an electric mixer until smooth. To this, add Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, lemon juice and honey and beat until well combined.
- Crush graham crackers into crumbs. Mix melted butter with the crackers to make a crust mixture.
- Take small spoonfuls of the graham cracker crust and press them at the base of your ice cube tray.
- Add the cream cheese mixture on top. Top it off with blueberries.
- Insert popsicle sticks three-fourths of the way into each ice cube mold.
- Freeze for at least two hours or overnight.
- Pop the bites from the tray and serve.
3.Frozen Banana Lollies
These frozen banana lollies make for a great summer or party treat and can be frozen for up to a week.
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 4 large strawberries
- 100 gm yogurt
- 200 gm Cadbury chocolate
- 1 tbsp sprinkles
Instructions
- Peel your bananas and trim off the ends. Cut each banana into two halves.
- Insert one strawberry onto a lolly stick, followed by one half of the banana and another strawberry. Do this with the other lolly stick as well.
- Place the lolly sticks in the freezer for an hour.
- Once the lolly sticks are frozen, spread yogurt only on the banana portion of the lollies. Refreeze them.
- Melt chocolate in the microwave. Dip the strawberry end of the lolly stick into the melted chocolate and top with sprinkles.
- Refrigerate or freeze the lollies before serving.

4.Oreo Lasagna
This no bake dessert combines simple, everyday ingredients to create a decadent treat.
Ingredients
For the base:
- 25 Oreo cookies
- 5 tbsp butter (melted)
For the cream cheese filling:
- 452 gm cream cheese (room temperature)
- 287 gm confectioner’s sugar
- 120 gm whipped cream
For the chocolate filling:
- 250 gm chocolate yogurt (whipped)
- 146 gm whipped cream
For the lasagna:
- 14 graham crackers
- 200 gm cherry jam
- 146 gm whipped cream
- 4 Oreo cookies
Instructions
- To make the base, pulse Oreo cookies in a food processor until they form tiny crumbs. Spread and press the mixture onto a large baking pan.
- To make the cream cheese filling, combine cream cheese and confectioner’s sugar and then fold in the whipped cream.
- To make the chocolate filling, fold the whipped cream into the chocolate yogurt.
- To make the lasagna, spread half of the cream cheese filling onto the Oreo base. Top it with a layer of graham crackers followed by half of the cherry jam on top. Make sure all the layers are even.
- Then spread the chocolate filling on top of the jam layer followed by another layer of graham crackers. Add the remaining jam on top.
- Spread the remaining cream cheese filling on top of the jam and top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle the top with coarsely crushed graham crackers and Oreos.
- Refrigerate before cutting it up to serve.
