Recently, Netflix launched a show called Wednesday which is a spinoff of the yesteryears show The Addams Family. This show reignited the memories of the good times when the Addams family was such a prominent television show and was watched by everyone. The Addams family started a culture of its own and became a cult classic among both children and adults. The show has since then been an inspiration for many themed parties, festivals, and special occasions. Not only this, multiple dishes have been inspired by the mystic show.

Today we have assorted a list of desserts that have been inspired by the Addams Family. These deserts are not directly lifted from the show but are inspired by the different instances of the show. Let's look at these spooky recipes.

1. Pie Crust Cookies

Remember the episode when Wednesday destroyed the whitewashed Thanksgiving pageant? It feels so appropriate to take a traditional Thanksgiving dessert such as an apple pie and set it on fire. This is an unconventional pie crust cookie recipe that you can try making at home. Replacing it with your conventional apple pie can be a great idea and also these cookies taste so good.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups of flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 20 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Now to make these pie crust cookies, put flour, salt, and sugar in a jar of food processor. Combine this all together in the food processor properly. Now add your butter in small blocks inside your flour, salt, and sugar. Add water and bourbon slowly into the jar. Combine everything in your food processor until you see clumps in the door. Divide the dough into two sections wrap it in plastic and refrigerate for at least two hours

No preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll your dough into ¼ of its original thickness. Now cut your dough into the shape of your choice. We would recommend you to make it in the shape of Wednesday’s braids. Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • Cinnamon for sprinkling
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • 2 peeled apples

Sprinkle your peeled apples with some lemon juice to avoid browning. Now melt some butter in the saucepan over medium heat and let it turn brown. Add your diced apples and sauté them in the butter until they turn crispy and tender.
