Let’s face it, making innovative treats that are also tasty will make the kids happy. Desserts aren’t just about satisfying a sweet tooth, it is also about bringing your creativity into baking these small treats. These kids’ desserts are tiny adventures your kids will remember.

1. Rainbow Fruity Pancake Stacks: Tiny Towers of Sweetness

Servings: 8 mini pancakes

These bright and colorful mini pancakes are the ultimate breakfast-dessert fusion. The best way to make fun kids' desserts is to make them colorful and lively.

Ingredients:

  • 100 gm all-purpose flour
  • 50 gm sugar
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 gm baking powder
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 2 drops of red, blue, yellow, and green food coloring
  • 100 gm assorted fresh fruits (strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, or any other fruit of your choice)
  • 50 ml maple syrup

How to Make the Magic Happen:

  1. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Once you have assorted the dry ingredients, prepare the wet ones. In another bowl, combine milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  2. Divide the batter into four separate bowls. Add a different food color to each one—red, blue, yellow, and green. Stir until the batter is vibrant. You can also add some fruits and berries into the batter. It’s like garnishing a Chocolate Tart with various types of berries.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour small amounts of each colored batter to form mini pancakes. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip! Stack the mini pancakes in alternating colors like a tiny rainbow tower.
  4. Slice fresh fruits and place them artfully around the stack like they’re precious jewels. Drizzle with maple syrup to enhance the flavors.

2. Monster Marshmallow Pops: Chewy, Gooey, Adorable

Servings: 12 pops

These aren't just marshmallows but mini monsters on a stick. With candy eyes, colorful fur, these treats are not just made for Halloween, but anytime of the year.

Ingredients:

  • 150 gm large marshmallows
  • 150 gm white chocolate chips
  • 10 ml coconut oil
  • 100 gm colorful sprinkles
  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • 24 edible candy eyes (found at baking stores or online)

Unleash the Beastly Sweetness:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals until the mixture is smooth and melted. Stir it like a wizard making a potion.
  2. Stick a lollipop stick into each marshmallow and dip them into the melted white chocolate in the same way you make Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Make sure they're coated all around. Now, quickly roll them in sprinkles to create “monster fur.”
  3. While the chocolate is still melty, stick two candy eyes onto each marshmallow pop. Place them upright in a styrofoam block and let them chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Once the marshmallow monsters have chilled, they’re ready to be gobbled up

3. Banana-Dolphin Sundaes: Jungle Adventure in a Bowl

These little dolphin friends are swimming in a sea of ice cream and whipped cream

Ingredients:

  • 4 bananas
  • 200 gm vanilla ice cream
  • 50 ml whipped cream
  • 50 gm Cadbury chocolate chips (mini ones work best!)
  • 100 gm berries (blueberries or raspberries)
  • 4 wafer cookies

How to Set the Scene:

  1. Peel the bananas halfway and slice a small bit into the unpeeled tip to create a dolphin "mouth." Insert a mini chocolate chip as the dolphin’s eyes.
  2. Scoop vanilla ice cream into 4 bowls. This is not a Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream so more than one scoop is welcomed. Place the bananas standing upright so it looks like they’re swimming out of the ice cream.
  3. Use whipped cream to create foamy ocean waves around the dolphins. You can use food color to give a realistic effect, but it tastes better if you keep it natural. Sprinkle berries on top to look like floating tropical fruit.
  4. Stick a wafer cookie in as a “surfboard” for your dolphin. It’s a mini jungle beach party in a bowl, complete with edible wildlife!
