Are you a fan of the classic choco lava cake? Then the dark chocolate version will delight your soul. Imagine taking a spoonful of the dark choco lava cake—the rich gooey dark chocolate will ooze molten goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gm Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa)
  • 100 gm unsalted butter
  • 100 gm sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 gm all-purpose flour
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt

Procedure:

  • Start by melting the dark chocolate and butter in a microwave-proof bowl on steaming hot water. Keep stirring until the dark chocolate melts completely.
  • Whisk the eggs and sugar together until they become fluffy and airy. Now combine the dark chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  • In this same mixture, fold in flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix them together very well but do not overmix.
  • Grease some ramekins, fill ¾ of them with the batter, and push a cube of dark chocolate into the ramekins.
  • Bake the ramekins in the oven at 200°C for 10-12 minutes. The edges will be firm while the center will be gooey.
  • Serve the cakes hot and enjoy the molten lava cake.

Dark chocolate mousse:

Light, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, this dark chocolate mousse is the ultimate dark chocolate dessert. If you are a fan of mousse chocolate in general, the dark chocolate mousse will be a better option for a change.

Ingredients:

  • 150 gm Cadbury dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 300 ml heavy cream (chilled)
  • 50 gm sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 5 gm instant coffee powder for a subtle kick
  • Dark chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Procedure:

  • Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt in the microwave oven. Stir them until they become smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk the chilled heavy cream and sugar until it becomes fluffy and airy.
  • Take another bowl, and beat the egg whites until they become fluffy.
  • Fold the melted chocolate with the whipped cream and then add the egg whites. Mix them together to form a mousse-like consistency. Be gentle while mixing.
  • In short serving glasses, spoon the mousse and let it set for two hours in the fridge.
  • Garnish the dark chocolate mousse with some dark chocolate shavings and enjoy!

Dark chocolate truffles:

A classic truffle will taste the best when you make it with dark chocolate. Try this at home for a change.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gm Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 15 gm unsalted butter
  • Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut for coating

Procedure:

  • Heat the heavy cream until it simmers
  • Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and pour the hot heavy cream over it. Let it melt.
  • Add butter to the chocolate mixture and stir until they combine perfectly.
  • Let the ganache set in the fridge for at least two hours. Then use a tablespoon to scoop the ganache and then roll it in your hand into the shape of balls.
  • Coat them with either chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or cocoa powder, and enjoy.
