You can find rolled oats, steel-cut oats, and instant oats in the market which contain important vitamins and minerals so why not try some of these delish dessert recipes? If you’re bored of cooking oats the usual way in a saucepan or having overnight oats, then it’s time to introduce baked oats into your daily schedule. Chocolate Chip Baked Oats

Ingredients:

  • 120 g oats
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ medium banana
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • Handful of chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 176 C.
  • Blend all the ingredients minus the chocolate chips in a food processor until you get a smooth batter.
  • Grease an ovenproof ramekin or bowl, then pour this batter into it.
  • Top with chocolate chips. You can also mix them in if you want a pop of chocolate in every bite. The choice is yours.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes. You will know the oats are done once they look golden brown on top.
  • Enjoy them warm with some milk, cream, or cold vanilla Greek yogurt.

Carrot Cake Oats

Ingredients:

  • 480 g rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 415 ml milk (or non dairy milk)
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 ml maple syrup
  • 180 g shredded carrots
  • 75 g raisins
  • 60 g chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
  • Then add the almond milk, eggs, maple syrup, and shredded carrots.
  • Mix well, and finally incorporate the raisins and chopped nuts.
  • Pour this batter into the greased baking dish and optionally place some chopped pecans or walnuts on top.
  • Then bake in the oven for around 40 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the nuts look toasted.
  • Let the baked oats cool down for 5 to 19 minutes before serving with a side of cream or yogurt. If you want to make it more indulgent, then feel free to whip up some cream cheese frosting by whipping the cheese with powdered sugar.

Apple Pie Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 190 g rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 60 g chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 475 ml milk (or non dairy milk)
  • 80 ml maple syrup
  • 60 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 chopped large apples
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C and grease a 9 inch pie tin.
  • First combine all the dry ingredients: chopped apples, salt, rolled oats, baking powder, and the spice powders in a large bowl.
  • Then combine the wet ingredients, milk, maple syrup, oil, vanilla extract, and the two eggs in another bowl. Mix well.
  • Then combine the wet ingredients with the dry ones and pour the batter into the greased pie tin.
  • Place the pie tin on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes.
  • Let the apple pie oatmeal completely cool down before extracting it from the pie tin.
  • Slice and serve with some cream or Greek yogurt.
