Barfi

Ingredients:
- 250 gm coconut
- 200 gm condensed milk
- 70 gm ghee
- 2 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp saffrons
- 250 ml cream
Method:
- For this quick and easy recipe, you first have to take a medium-sized bowl and in it, mix condensed milk, coconut powder and ghee, and whisk everything well until it gains a smooth texture.
- After that, pour the mixture into a pan, and set it on low heat while stirring it continuously so that the mixture starts to thicken.
- After about 13 to 15 minutes, you can remove the concoction from the heat, add saffron and cardamom powder, and stir them in well.
- Then, you just have to transfer this batter onto a plate that has already been greased with ghee.
- Now it is time for you to set it into the refrigerator, but before that, you need to add a generous dollop of heavy cream, and coat the entire batter with it.
- After about an hour of chilling in the refrigerator, you can take the dish out, and slice it into any shape of your choice.
Chocolate Motichoor Laddoo
Ingredients:
- 200 gm gram flour
- 70 gm Cadbury cocoa powder
- 100 gm ghee
- 130 ml vegetable oil (optional)
- 210 gm sugar
- 60 ml milk
- 2 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 120 gm sugar
- 200 ml water
Method:
- This recipe will require you to first mix together ghee, gram flour, Cadbury cocoa powder and baking soda in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- After that, add milk and sugar to the flour mixture while stirring continuously so that a dough starts to form.
- You then have to knead a dough and divide it into several small portions that are about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Next, move on to heating ghee or vegetable oil in a frying pan, and then slowly transfer the dough balls into the pan to deep fry them.
- After about 7 to 9 minutes of deep frying, you need to take the Ladoos or balls out of the oil and soak them in sugar syrup for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- In order to make the sugar syrup, you need to mix water with sugar and bring it to a boil until the concoction is slightly sticky.
- Once your Ladoos are made, you need to let them cool down to room temperature before serving.
Doodh Peda

Ingredients:
- 500 ml milk
- 200 gm sugar
- 55 gm ghee
- 2 tsp cardamom
Method:
- For this particular mithai for Diwali, bring your milk to a boil and let it simmer for around an hour to let it start thickening.
- Once the milk has halved in quantity, add ghee, sugar and cardamom powder, and give it a good mix.
- Allow the milk to reduce and thicken for the next 15 to 20 minutes.
- After that, you can take it off the heat and let the mix cool a bit before using a spoon or your palms to make small rounds.
- Once the doughs are shaped into thick, flattened discs, you need to wait for about 2 hours while the Pedas refrigerate, become firmer, and become ready to serve.
