Ed, Edd and Eddy characters as chocolate desserts from flaky to dense ones

A bunch of sticky and messy adolescents fighting turf wars to get their favorite snacks. What could go wrong? That’s the premise of Ed, Edd, and Eddy, following the social lives of the trio who hatch schemes, try part-time jobs, and figure out how to behave around girls. It’s quite messy with the animation style feeling like it was hatched straight out of a teenage boy’s hormone-stricken brain. But perhaps that is the charm. So, we picked some boys, and a girl from the hood and turned them into desserts, for the nostalgic factor you know.

1. Donut – Ed

His face gives away his stupidity, making him an endearing and hilarious character in the cartoon series. From crashing into things, acting like a rabid animal, actually flying, and not batting an eyelash after, to doing things that defy science, Ed can't be explained by logic because his character holds no rhyme or reason. He's a simpleton who's fun to watch just like a classic donut with its different toppings. Put him in a cage, in the ground, or put his favorite cereal at the end of the maze, and he’ll break through walls just to get to the cereal. Some folks and their donuts are like that, inseparable.

2. Napoleon pastry – Eddy

Quick to blow a gasket, Edd is the conniving leader of the trio who's always looking to sell a scheme when that doesn't work he stares into the distance and wonders what's on TV. “Cm’ere, you little-” is his catchphrase when things get out of hand and he starts chasing the person he thinks is at fault. He has the hallmark of a classic playground bully but for some reason, there are worse characters on the show than him. For this, he gets the Napolean Pastry with its flaky delicate layers sandwiched with pastry cream, symbolic of his leadership role and his temper.

3. Panna Cotta – Edd

There's always an anxiety-ridden friend who cautions the other two in the group, including telling them why they shouldn't do what they plan to. Double D, as his friends call him, gets mocked by other boys for throwing like a 2-year-old but is a hit among the girls. Unsurprisingly he’s the most intelligent one and also the peacemaker of the group, which kind of makes him an outcast. But despite that, he counsels everyone like the goody-two-shoes he is. For this simpleton, who loves to please everyone, a panna cotta is sheer perfection, with its simple taste, ingredients, and its presentation.

4. Brownie – Jonny 2x4

The poor boy gets bullied a lot for being a loner and having an imaginary friend, who he carries around, a wooden plank with the same facial features as him. He's also dimwitted like Ed but gets bullied more than Ed. For the little baldy who unintentionally becomes a nuisance to the neighborhood kids, a brownie is perfect. Cuz, just like one the most fudgy chocolate desserts to exist, that doesn't need any technique to make it, he's free-spirited and exists in a bubble.

5. Cinnamon Roll – Sarah

The doofus Ed has a cute younger sister who has the brains of the two siblings. She's disdainful and intimidating, especially towards her older bro Ed who she keeps in check by threatening to expose him to their parents, presumably. But she has moments of kindness and only shows to the Eds and nobody else. She's a sweet cinnamon roll dessert with the spicy kick of cinnamon and the sweetness of sugar cutting through the gluten.

6. Cheesecake – Rolf

Rolf works on his parents' farm, speaks in a strange lingo, and is the leader of a Boy Scouts group consisting of Jimmy and his plank and Jonny. He's almost as strong as Ed but can't match him for some reason he's well-respected by all the kids in the block. That alone makes him a cheesecake because, like the dessert, he's not as sweet as the regular ole chocolate cake but is still revered.

7. Bread Pudding – Jimmy

The crybaby of the lot, Jimmy is quite weak and timid and tends to hurt himself a lot. He spends a lot of time with Sarah and when not moping in his insecurity, he can be quite cumming and coming up with crafty schemes to dupe the Eds. The brace ring he has around his face gives him an untouchable look but that doesn't stop the Eds from bothering him. He's a bread pudding and like the color of the dessert, as girly as he might seem, he can be quite sinister when pushed to the edge.

8. Sugar Cookies – The Kanker Sisters

In a strange turn of events these half-sisters are bullies who are obsessed with the Eds’ trio. Their first meeting with them was also strange: scaring the living daylight out of them, dragging them back to their home, love bombing them then acting like a bunch of abusive exes. This trio is a bunch of sugar cookies that are easy to crumble and a great treat if you don't mind the calories. We aren't calling the Kanker sisters great, but they sure are entertaining.
