Sometimes you need something different to cap off a meal, which is why dessert cocktails are your savior. Here are some delicious recipes that combine the best of both worlds. Do remember to drink responsibly. Adjust the ratio of all spirits depending on the number of people you’re serving.
Chocolate Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 118 ml Irish cream liqueur
- 118 ml chocolate liqueur
- 118 vodka
- Shaved chocolate, for garnish
Instructions:
- Pour lashings of chocolate syrup into two martini glasses.
- Combine Irish cream liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and vodka in a cocktail shaker. Add large ice cubes, then give it a good shake.
- Pour evenly into both glasses.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve.
Brandy Alexander
Ingredients:
- 30 ml cognac
- 30 ml dark crème de cacao
- 30 ml cream
- Grated nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then pour all the spirits into it. Shake for 20 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass. You can chill the glass in the refrigerator for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
- Garnish the drink with freshly grated nutmeg.
Coffee Coquito
Ingredients:
- 480 ml brewed coffee
- 354 ml evaporated milk
- 440 ml coconut cream
- 414 ml condensed milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120 ml dark rum
Instructions:
- Blend coffee, evaporated milk, coconut cream, and condensed milk.
- Then mix in the spices and vanilla extract.
- Finally, add the dark rum and refrigerate coquito.
- Serve in chilled cocktail glasses.
Irish Affogato
Ingredients:
- 22 ml Irish whiskey
- 15 ml Irish cream liqueur
- 40 ml freshly brewed coffee
- 1 scoop coffee flavored ice cream
Instructions:
- You can use an Irish coffee mug for this cocktail, else just use a tall glass.
- Add all of the ingredients in your serving glass, give it a mix.
- Finally, add a large scoop of coffee ice cream. You can also decorate with some chocolate shavings.
Golden Cadillac
Ingredients:
- 30 ml Galliano L’Autentico liqueur (an Italian herbal liqueur)
- 30 ml white crème de cacao
- 30 ml heavy cream
- Dark chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add all the spirits and heavy cream. Give this a good shake.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
Pink Squirrel
Ingredients:
- 22 ml crème de noyaux liqeuer
- 22 ml white crème de cacao
- 44 ml heavy cream
- Grated nutmeg for garnish
Instructions:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with large ice cubes.
- Shake for 15 to 20 seconds, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Grasshopper
Ingredients:
- 30 ml crème de menthe
- 30 ml white creme de cacao
- 60 ml heavy cream
- Grated nutmeg for garnish
Instructions:
- Shake all the liqueurs and heavy cream with ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Pour into a cocktail glass. You can garnish this drink with grated nutmeg.
Golden Dream
Ingredients:
- 22 ml triple sec
- 22 ml Galliano L’Autentico liqueur
- 22 ml cream
- 32 fresh orange juice
