- Red gel icing
- Black gel icing
- Edible eye beads
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C, and prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Then, sift flour, sugar, and salt into a bowl, making sure there are no lumps left.
- To the mixture, add softened butter and stir everything till it forms into a dough.
- At this stage, you need to beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Then, roll the dough into finger-shaped rectangular cookies.
- Line them up on the parchment paper and bake these in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
- Once you take them out of the oven, you must allow the cookies to cool completely before frosting.
- To do the frosting of the fingernails, use red gel icing, and for the knuckles, use black gel icing. Add edible eyes to make a spooky face on your finger cookies.
- It is best to serve these cookies after letting the frosting set so that the design does not melt off even before they are consumed. You can make them a day or two in advance and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator if you do not want to wait for too long on the day of the event.
