In the world of food, we eat with our eyes before our mouths even touch the food. And with desserts, there’s few things as attractive as filling them into mason jars. When these jars came into the culinary scene, they revolutionized the way desserts were served. And they’ve stood the test of time, as they continue to be a popular choice even today.

With these DIY dessert jar recipes, you’ll impress your guests with your creativity, and be able to offer them customized and convenient-to-eat desserts.

1. Jar Full of S’mores

Because you deserve to be transported to a beach campfire at all times!

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 16 Graham cracker squares
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

  • Add the chopped chocolate to a bowl, and add the hot heavy cream on top. Whisk until smooth.
  • Process the Graham crackers until it’s a coarse powder. Add the butter and mix. (It should look like wet sand.)
  • In the jar, add ¼ of the cracker mixture at the bottom, then layer the marshmallow fluff, the chocolate ganache, and top off with mini marshmallows.
  • Torch the marshmallows with a cooking torch and serve. If you don't have a torch then roast them in an oven and add on top of the layers.
