Almond Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 30 gm soaked and peeled almonds
  • 355 ml chilled milk
  • 1 banana
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 soaked and deseeded dated

Instructions:

  • Prepare the dates and almonds in advance. You can soak them for a couple of hours before you’re about to prepare the smoothie.
  • Then pop them in your blender along with chilled milk, a banana, and vanilla essence. You can even use half a banana if the fruit you have is too large. Else, substitute with any other seasonal fruit like mangoes.
  • Blend these ingredients well until you get a very smooth drink.
  • Serve in a tall glass with a metal straw.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 pear, chopped
  • 1 orange , chopped
  • 1 mango, chopped
  • 5 strawberries, cut into 4
  • 1/2 cup grapes
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 6-8 finely chopped mint leaves (optional)

Instructions:

  • Chop all the fruits into bite-sized cubes.
  • You can use green, black, or even red grapes for this recipe, but do cut them into halves. Pomegranate seeds are a great addition because they are packed with iron.
  • Add all of the fruits into a large bowl, then add lemon juice, mint leaves, chaat masala, cumin powder, and black salt.
  • Toss the fruits well, so they are covered completely with the dressing. Taste to adjust the quantity of lemon juice and spices.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate until it’s time to serve.

Watermelon Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 720 gm diced watermelon
  • 240 gm frozen strawberries
  • 3 large ice cubes
  • 150 gm Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • 15 ml lemon juice

Instructions:

  • You can freeze the watermelon cubes in advance too along with the strawberries, especially if you don’t want to add ice cubes.
  • Add the fruit to a high-speed blender along with greek yogurt, banana, and lemon juice.
  • Blend well to get an extremely smooth consistency.
  • Serve in tall glasses with metal straws.

Ingredients:

  • 120 gm yogurt
  • 60 gm seasonal summer fruits
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 60 gm sugar free granola

Instructions:

  • Place the chilled yogurt into serving bowls, then add some chia seeds, followed by unsweetened coconut flakes.
  • Then add a layer of summer fruits — you can use mangoes, cantaloupe, berries, plums, pineapples, and grapes - followed by another layer of yogurt.
  • Finally, top the fruits off with sugar-free granola. You can also decorate with some more unsweetened coconut flakes.
