Fancy Bitzer the dog as one of the most homely Italian desserts (guess which one)? Or perhaps the sheeps as some chocolate filled goodie? Then read on
Shaun the Sheep was a little crazy cartoon that was among the slew of Hindi dubs with voice actors mimicking some familiar B’wood actors. The kids loved it, they still do and the familiar sheep on the farm, led by Shaun, with the trusty cap wearing dog, Bitzer and of course the unaware and absent minded farmer who loves experimenting and relaxing with his cat. So, we went ahead and turned the already fun show into more fun by imagining the characters as sweet desserts.
1. Chocolate Cake – Shaun
This sheep is the life of the party and takes the lead in almost every adventure that comes in the way of the sheep in the farm, that's because he is the leader of the flock and a smarty pants. He’s almost human-like and on more than one occasion has led the flock away from the farm into the Farmer’s house and also to town to have fun. He’s also good friends with the farm dog, Bitzer and often hangs out with him like two bros grabbing two sodas after a long week of work. For this extraordinary sheep, a chocolate cake is quite fitting for this wholesome sheep.
2. Cannoli – Bitzer
Every farm needs its dog, and in this farm, Bitzer is that dog, perhaps even more smarter than his owner given he rounds the sheep up for attendance and keeps a watch on them via his trusty notepad. All he wants to do is have a quiet life which is difficult considering the energetic Shaun is around. But once in a while he enjoys that quiet time with his owner the Farmer, then has fun with the flock too. That sounds like one of the classic Italian desserts – a cannoli with its tube shape and sweet cheese filling.
3. Chocolate Muffin – The Farmer
Like the sheeps who bleat to communicate, the Farmer too speaks a gibberish that only the animals around him seem to understand. He’s a retired golf player, and also a simpleton who likes to experiment around in his yard which ends up in failure most of the time. His farm runs hassle free thanks to Bitzer and the smart sheeps who often end up fixing his messes. For this cheerful man, a batch of freshly baked muffins seems perfect. Not just any muffin, chocolate muffins, fresh out of the oven paired with a cup of coffee.
4. Cupcake – Timmy
A seemingly innocent lamb, Timmy is a hyperactive little one who is often seen walking around with a pacifier in his mouth. What many won’t know is that Timmy is Shaun’s cousin and has a penchant for trouble, that gets everyone around worked up, but miraculously the little sheep always comes out unscathed. For this adorable little munchkin, a cupcake is perfect for his size and also his antics that make the cartoon an entertaining watch.
5. Chocolate Cookie – Shirley
The biggest and fattest sheep on the farm, in the Hindi Dub she’s called Tuntun Mausi, and not much changes in either the OG or the dub. She is a voracious eater with a gentle heart and can come across as intimidating but has a soft spot for the youngest of the flock, Timmy. To represent her big and round shape, a chocolate cookie is perfect. Funnily enough, more than once, things and sheeps have gotten stuck in her thick wad of wool. This gentle giant is otherwise super sweet and quite loyal, turning up for her pack in times of need when predators like foxes try to prey on the sheeps, especially the small kid, Timmy.
6. Carrot Cake – Timmy's Mom
She’s a typical overprotective mother instantly recognizable through the curlers in her hair (we think) and her walking around with Timmy in tow. While the rest of the flock have names, for some reason Timmy’s mom’s name is never revealed nor are the names of the twin sheeps revealed. Some quirks about this sheep are that she can drive the Farmer’s tractor and even owns a pink cellphone. For this overprotective maternal sheep, a carrot cake seems best.
7. Donuts – The Pigs
The trio of pigs are always seen together and giggling in the background when things go haywire in the sheep area. They love making fun of Shaun and are a pain in his hide and like stereotypical pigs, they are greedy and cancerous and take great joy in messing up whatever scheme or plan Shaun is planning. So for the inseparable trio who end up getting promoted to anti heroes from antagonists much later, a trio of donuts is perfect for their nutty nature (the toppings) and their pink skin could easily be the pink glaze on donuts.
