Banana Berry Blast Smoothie

A refreshing smoothie that’s as vibrant as it is tasty. Packed with natural sweetness and color, this drink is a fun, hands-on treat kids can make on their own or with a little supervision.

Ingredients:

  • 100 gm fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 150 gm plain yogurt
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (for a fun twist and added texture)

Procedure:

  1. Place the strawberries, banana, yogurt, milk, and honey into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add chia seeds and pulse once or twice, just to mix them in without crushing.
  3. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.

Coconut Ladoo

Ingredients:

  • 200 gm desiccated coconut (plus a bit extra for rolling)
  • 150 gm condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Procedure:

  1. Heat the ghee in a non-stick pan over low heat. Add the desiccated coconut, stirring gently until it becomes fragrant.
  2. Pour in the condensed milk and mix well, cooking until the mixture thickens and starts to come together.
  3. Add the cardamom powder, giving it one final stir. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then roll into small balls.
  4. Coat each ladoo with a little extra desiccated coconut for a snowy finish.

Mini Chocolate Puff Pastry Rolls

These little pastries are quick, easy, and irresistibly chocolaty. A fun treat for kids to help assemble and decorate, they’re ready in just minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (approx. 250 gm)

Procedure:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lay out the puff pastry sheet on a flat surface and cut it into small rectangles, about 5x7 cm each.
  2. Place a few chocolate chips or chunks in the center of each rectangle, then roll them up, sealing the edges lightly.
  3. Arrange the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with milk and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  4. Let them cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar for a sweet, flaky finish.

Mango Yogurt Parfait

A layered, colorful dessert that’s as healthy as it is delicious. This parfait brings together fresh mangoes, creamy yogurt, and a bit of crunch for a fun and tropical treat.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gm fresh mango, diced
  • 150 gm plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 30 gm granola or crushed digestive biscuits
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt with honey or maple syrup until smooth.
  2. In a serving glass, layer a spoonful of yogurt, followed by a layer of diced mango, then a sprinkle of granola or crushed biscuits.
  3. Repeat until the glass is filled, ending with mango on top. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top for extra crunch, if desired.
  4. Serve immediately or chill for a refreshing treat.
