These Cadbury Bournvita Dessert Recipes Celebrate Its Versatility And Distinct Taste

1. Bournvita Barfi

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 2 tbsp Cadbury Bournvita
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ⅛ cup ghee + more for greasing
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts

Directions:

  • In a bowl, add the Bournvita powder to hot water. Mix well until it has dissolved completely.
  • Add teh ghee and milk to a pan. Mix well. Add the milk powder, sugar and the Bournvita mixture, and continue mixing. Keep cooking on a low flame until it becomes a thick mixture.
  • Grease a pan with ghee and add the mixture to it. Sprinkle the mixed nuts on top. Let it set for a few hours.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

2. Bournvita Fudge

Ingredients:

  • 10 tbsp Cadbury Bournvita
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar

Directions:

  • In a pot on medium heat, stir together the butter, milk and condensed milk.
  • Slowly add the salt, sugar and Bournvita, stirring continuously.
  • Keep stirring until the mixture attains a thick consistency.
  • Create an ice water bath by filling a large bowl with ice water, and place a smaller empty bowl into it. Pour the fudge into the empty bowl. Keep stirring; the mixture should cool down but still remain liquid.
  • Once cool, pour into a tin and place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until set.
  • Cut into squares and serve cold.

3. Bournvita Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Cadbury Bournvita
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cup maida
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  • Add the eggs and sugar in a blender and blend until the sugar has dissolved. Then add the vegetable oil and Bournvita, and blend. Following this, add the milk and blend.
  • In another bowl, add the maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and sieve the mixture.
  • Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl and slowly start adding the flour mixture to it, mixing them gently. If it’s too dry, add some more milk.
  • Pop the mixture into a lined baking tin and put it in a preheated oven. Bake for roughly 30 minutes. Let it cool and remove from tray.

Or

  • Preheat an empty vessel on the stove for 5 minutes and then transfer the batter into it. Cover it and let it cook until done.

4. Bournvita Cookies

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 50 gms butter
  • 20 gms Cadbury Bournvita
  • ¼ tsp chocolate essence
  • Chocolate chips, optional

Directions:

  • Sieve the flour and add to a bowl. Add the Bournvita and mix.
  • Chop the cold butter into cubes and mix into the flour, using your fingers to mix it all together.
  • Add the sugar and essence and continue mixing. Make sure you aren’t kneading the dough. Just keep mixing until everything is combined well together.
  • At this point, add the chocolate chips or any other topping of your choice.
  • Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour.
  • Remove and preheat the oven. Take small pieces of the dough, roll into balls and then flatten into cookies. Place on a greased or lined tray.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • The cookies will be soft when they come out of the oven. Let them cool. As they cool, they’ll solidify and turn crunchy.
  • Serve with milk.

P.S. This is a great way of utilizing any Bournvita chunks you may have. You can crush them down and use that in the recipe instead of fresh powder. The taste of the cookies will be unaffected.
