Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake

Ingredients:

  • 103 gm sugar
  • 61 gm cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 124 gm peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 122 gm chocolate chips

Method:

  1. For the first step, you have to let the oven preheat to 220°C.
  2. While your oven is heating, you need to mix sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and flour into a fine combination.
  3. After this, you have to gently mix together eggs and peanut butter.
  4. You can now combine the mixture of sugar, cocoa powder, flour and salt with the wet mixture of peanut butter and eggs until they are all well folded in.
  5. Next comes the chocolatey bit where you have to add the chocolate chips and stir everything with a spoon until it melts.
  6. You have to then take a regular baking dish or some small baking bowls, and then pour the mixture into them, and transfer them to the oven for at least 13 to 16 minutes.

For this recipe, it is advisable to use good quality chocolate because that will help to bring out the gooey, lava flavor. You have to please make sure that your batter is not over-mixed so as to prevent your cake from becoming stiff. It is widely known that lava cakes are best eaten warm so you can garnish them straight out of the oven with some cream, and serve hot.

Strawberry Shortcake with Whipped Cream

  • 102 gm sugar
  • 63 gm butter
  • 124 gm strawberries
  • 125 gm whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

  1. For this recipe, you will first have to preheat your oven to 190°C.
  2. Next, you have to mix sugar and flour.
  3. After this, you need to gently add the butter and fold everything together.
  4. Your mixture is half done, and at this stage you need to transfer it to a tray and let it bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Once your shortcake is ready, take a good knife and carefully slice it into two nearly equal halves.
  6. This is the fun part where you will have to coat the halves with whipped cream and strawberries.
  7. You can add a dash of vanilla extract at the top to accentuate the flavors, and enjoy!

Caramel Pecan Tart

  • 125 gm caramel sauce
  • 121 gm pecans
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

  1. For the first step, while the oven is heating to 190°C, you need to do the easy task of mixing sugar and flour together.
  2. After this, you have to add butter to the mixture and stir it until you are left with crumbs.
  3. Next, transfer the mixture into a pan and let it bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  4. After your tart is baked, you can gently add caramel sauce, and then the most important step, garnish it with pecans.
  5. Your tart will go back into the oven for another 15 to 20 minutes, and once out, it's ready to be enjoyed.

In this recipe, please take care to see that the tart does not get over-baked as that will make it crumbly and dry. Switching the recipe up with hazelnuts or walnuts will lead you to equally interesting and delicious desserts.
