1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted
1 ¼ cups (250g) granulated sugar
¾ cup (150g) brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
½ cup (90g) chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 175°C and grease a 9-inch deep-dish pan.
Whisk melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla together until smooth.
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder together into the wet mix then add chocolate chips. Mix gently until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes.
Let the pie cool then garnish with whipped cream, chocolate, or caramel drizzle. Add desired toppings then slice to serve.
