150g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
100g unsalted butter (softened)
100g sugar
2 eggs
3 tbsp Thandai syrup
50ml milk
50g melted dark chocolate (for garnish)
Chopped nuts (for garnish)
Combine flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder in a bowl, making sure they are properly mixed and without lumps.
Whisk butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, add eggs and Thandai syrup, and mix until smooth.
Gradually fold in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, and mix until a smooth batter.
Bake the batter in a greased cake tin at 170°C for 30 minutes or until clean when a toothpick is inserted.
Cool completely, drizzle with melted dark chocolate, chopped nuts sprinkled on top, slice, and serve. Savour your Holi treat!
