1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup finely chopped nuts
Chocolate chips and chopped nuts for garnish
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cake pan.
Make cake batter with flour baking powder
salt
creamed butter
and sugar.
Beat in eggs and mix well.
Pour the mixture into prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Take out and let cool.
If you want to use a pre-baked cake
you can skip the first two steps.
Crumble the prepared cake into a bowl.
Add frosting and chopped nuts and mix well until it holds together.
Roll the mixture into balls and place on parchment paper.
Chill for 1 hour.
Meanwhile
melt chocolate with vegetable oil over steam or in an oven.
Once the balls are chilled
insert lollipop sticks into the center of each ball.
Dip the cake pops into chocolate and roll on chopped nuts.
Secure on a sponge and chill until set. Serve the nutty cake pops and enjoy.
