For the Cake:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ cup butter
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Buttercream Frosting:
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Food coloring (pink, purple, and blue)
Preheat the oven to 175°C or 350°F.
Dust and grease the cake pan.
Cream sugar and butter together.
Blend in vanilla and eggs well.
Mix together the flour and baking powder
then add in turns with the milk to the butter mixture.
Transfer batter to pan; bake for 25 to 30 minutes
or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool fully.
Butter is then beaten to prepare the frosting.
Add the milk
vanilla
and powdered sugar gradually while mixing until smooth.
Separate and add food coloring to color.
Spread a foundation layer of buttercream on the cooled cake.

use various colors.
