1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Prepare the pancake batter by whisking flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
In a different bowl, combine milk with melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Whisk it well.
Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and stir it until well combined. Do not overmix.
Heat up a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.
Pour ¼ cup of pancake batter on skillet. Cook until bubbles form, then flip it. Once both sides are brown, remove it from the skillet and repeat making pancakes for the remaining batter.
Stack three pancakes on a plate and drizzle it with maple syrup or fruit toppings for serving.
