4 pears (about 150 g each)
100 g mascarpone cheese
30 g honey (2 tablespoons)
2.5 ml vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
1 g ground cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
50 g chopped walnuts or pecans
100 ml balsamic vinegar
25 g brown sugar (2 tablespoons)
Preheat the oven to 180°C in order to prepare the pears. Cut the pears in half lengthwise, then remove the core to make a little hole.
In a bowl, combine mascarpone, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour this mixture into the pear cavities and top with chopped nuts.
To soften the pears, put them in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
Brown sugar and balsamic vinegar should be simmered over low heat for approximately five minutes to thicken the glaze. Top warm cooked pears with glaze, then dig in.
