Goan Nevri Recipe: Sweet Pastries Filled With Coconut And Poppy Seeds

Ingredients

For The Dough
1 cup flour
1/4 cup ghee
pinch of salt
Water

Ingredients

For The Filling
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup jaggery
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Prepare The Dough

Add water to make a smooth dough after mixing flour, ghee, and salt. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Prepare The Filling

After cooking coconut, jaggery, and cardamom until thickened, add the nuts to make the filling. Allow to cool.

Assemble And Fry

Roll the dough, cut circles, add the filling, fold, and seal to assemble. Deep-fry until crispy and brown.
