Homemade Palakova Recipe: A Rich Andhra Pradesh Dessert

Ingredients

1 liter full-fat milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp ghee
Chopped nuts

Simmer Milk

Boil the milk and simmer it on low heat to reduce it and thicken it.

Add Sugar

Once the milk is reduced, add sugar to it. Heat it up and mix it until it dissolves then cook it for 30 minutes until it gets fudge-like consistency.

Add Ghee and Cardamom

At this point, include ghee and cardamom in the milk.

Cool and shape

Once the milk becomes fudge-like, turn off the heat and let it cool. Once cooled, make small balls with it.

Garnish and Serve

Garnish palakova with chopped nuts and serve.
