150 g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
100 g unsalted butter, softened
100 g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
60 ml fresh orange juice
Zest of 1 orange and 1 lemon
60 ml milk
Grease a loaf pan and preheat the oven to 175°C. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.
Add the eggs one at a time after beating the butter and sugar until they are frothy.
Mix in milk, orange juice, and zest in turn, alternating with the dry ingredients.
Fill the pan with batter, then bake it for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Drizzle the chilled cake with a tart mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice.
