150g- maida (All-purpose flour)
120ml- orange juice
150g- sugar
4- eggs
60ml- vegetable oil
1 tsp- baking powder
1 tbsp- orange zest
¼ tsp- salt
240ml- heavy cream
2 tbsp- powdered sugar
1 tsp- vanilla essence
Sift maida, baking powder and salt together. In another bowl, mix egg yolks, sugar, orange juice, oil and orange zest. Fold in the dry ingredients.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks. Fold in gently.
Pour the batter into greased round pans and bake at 170°C for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
Whip cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks.
Layer with whipped cream frosting and top and sides. Then garnish it with orange slices or zest.
Chill it for 1-2 hours before serving.
