1 cup almonds (badam)
½ cup sugar
¼ cup water
1 tbsp ghee
¼ tsp cardamom powder
Silver varq
Soak almonds in hot water for 30 minutes. Peel the skin off once it's soft.
Pat the almonds dry and grind them to a fine powder.
Add sugar and water in a pan and heat up to make thick sugar syrup.
Add almond powder to the syrup and stir until it gets dough like consistency.
Add ghee to the mixture and flavor with cardamom powder. Stir until mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Let the mixture cool enough to handle and knead to a dough. Spread it onto a greased tray evenly.
Chill the mixture for 1 hour and cut into diamond shapes, garnish with silver varq and chopped nuts
