2 cups cashews (kaju)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 teaspoon ghee (for greasing)
Silver varak
Grind cashews to a fine powder. Soft powder to make it smooth and fine.
Heat water and sugar in a pan until sugar dissolves and becomes thick. Flavor with cardamom powder.
Once syrup gets right consistency, reduce the heat and add cashew powder gradually. Stir to dissolve lumps.
Cook the mixture until it becomes like a dough and leaves the sides of the pan.
Spread the mixture on a flat plate and level it evenly. Add silver varak on top along with chopped nuts and freeze to hold shape.
Slice the katlis to diamond shapes and serve.
