1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
2 tbsp ghee
A pinch of salt
Water (as needed)
Oil (for frying)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water (for syrup)
Combine the flour, salt, and ghee. Gradually add water to produce a firm dough. Give it a 15 to 20-minute break.
The dough should be rolled out thinly and folded into rectangles. The rectangles should be deep-fried in hot oil until crispy and brown.
Dissolve sugar in water and simmer until a one-string consistency is achieved to make a sugar syrup.
Ensure the fried khaja is fully covered by dipping it into the syrup. After letting them cool, serve.
