How To Make Perfect Coconut Barfi For Diwali

Ingredients

2 cups grated fresh coconut (or desiccated coconut)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
A few saffron strands (optional)
Chopped nuts for garnish

Heat Ghee And Sauté

Add the grated coconut to a pan of heated ghee. Reduce heat and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.

Mix Ingredients

After adding the milk, sugar, and cardamom powder, stir the mixture continuously until it thickens and pulls away from the pan's sides.

Spread The Mixture

Spread the mixture evenly on a plate or tray that has been buttered, then allow it to cool.

Cut And Serve

Cut into squares and sprinkle with chopped nuts and saffron threads. You may now serve your coconut barfi.
