1 cup gram flour
3/4 cup water
A pinch of orange food color
Ghee or oil for deep frying
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Combine besan and water in a bowl. Mix well to make a smooth batter and add food coloring.
Heat oil and drop the batter in hot oil using perforated spoon to make small drips. Fry until the drops holds a shape but not crispy.
Drain the boondi on paper. Make a thick sugar syrup with water, sugar and cardamom powder.
Once syrup is done, add fried boondi to it and mix until well coated. Leave for 10 minutes to soak well.
Shape the coated boondis to laddos with greased hands and garnish with chopped nuts.
