For the cake:
432 grams of cake mix
3 ripe bananas
3 large eggs
120 ml vegetable oil
240 ml water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
226 grams of softened unsalted butter
2 cups softened cream cheese
4 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons milk
Preheat the oven to 175°C and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
Combine cake mix, mashed bananas, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract in a bowl and prepare the batter. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
Fill the cake pans evenly with the batter and bake for 25-30 minutes. Then transfer on a wire rack and allow to cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the frosting by beating softened butter and cream cheese. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk while beating. Once all ingredients are in, increase the speed until the mixture becomes fluffy.
Add vanilla extract to the frosting and use milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Assemble the cake by layering it with frosting and decorate it with your favourite embellishments. Freeze to set the cake before serving.
