1 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar substitute
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup almond flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate and butter together over simmering water.
Combine sugar substitute and eggs in a large bowl and whisk them together until the mixture becomes frothy.
Add vanilla extract and applesauce and mix. Now slowly add the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
Sift in almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt then fold it until well combined.
Fill the baking pan with batter and bake for 25-30 minutes until the centre remains slightly soft. Take it out and let it cool before slicing and serving.
