2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream (or yogurt)
½ cup strong brewed expresso
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
½ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup milk
½ cup melted dark chocolate
Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan or a regular 9-inch cake pan.
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
Beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla, sour cream, and coffee.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just evenly mixed. Divide batter into two equal parts and mix cocoa powder and milk in one.
Layer batters into the greased pan alternatively. Create swirls using a skewer or back of a spoon.
Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool then drizzle with melted chocolate. Serve warm.
