2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
2 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Combine salt
baking powder
sugar
and flour in a bowl.
Beat the eggs
melted butter
milk
and vanilla in a separate dish.
Mix the components
wet and dry
until they are well combined.
In a deep pan or fryer
heat the vegetable oil at 350°F (175°C).
When the oil is heated
drop spoonfuls of dough into it and fry a couple at a time until golden brown
two to three minutes on each side.
Drain on paper towels after removing with a slotted spoon.
In a bowl
stir together sugar and cinnamon.
Toss the heated donuts until well-covered with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
