The Perfect Gulab Jamun Recipe: A Classic Ayodhya Dessert

Ingredients

1 cup khoya (milk solids)
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1½ cups water
Ghee for frying
Cardamom, saffron

Mix Ingredients

Combine khoya
flour
and baking powder to form a dough.
Form into little balls.

Make Syrup

Boil the sugar
water
and cardamom to make the syrup.

Fry The Balls

Once the balls are golden brown
fry them in ghee.

Serve

After 30 minutes of soaking in warm syrup
serve.
