1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour 9x13-inch baking pan.
Prepare a dry mix with flour
baking powder
and salt.
Stir well and keep aside.
In another bowl
beat softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer and make it fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
Add in flour mixture and alternate with milk.
Stir in vanilla extract and mix gently.
Pour batter in prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Once done
remove from oven and let cool.
After cooling down
remove the cake from the pan and coat it with vanilla cream frosting and your desired decorations.
