It’s true that not each of them can be made in our kitchen due to the complex recipe but there are a few desserts from the show that are perfect to try at home and enjoy with our loved ones. If you are also a dessert lover and true fan of MasterChef Australia, here are six sweet treats that were made famous by the show.

130 Step Toffee Apple

If you have a good memory, then you will remember the iconic semi-finals of MasterChef Australia season 12. The true fans will surely recall how the pressure test challenge made every contestant nervous along with the audience. We witnessed the world premiere of Sepia chef Martin Benn’s toffee apple – the new lockdown dessert.

The chef described the dish being 10 times more difficult than the previous challenge on the show, the Forest Floor. We definitely agree with chef Martin as it was not the regular toffee apple recipe which is simply prepared with apples, sugar and water. This new exotic dessert is prepared from 59 ingredients and consists of 130 steps.

Down The Rabbit Hole

This is another incredible creation on the stage of MasterChef Australia. This dish is from the Back To Win episode when Reynold made a rabbit hole inspired by Alice In Wonderland. It is a gorgeous tableau of elements, and the most exciting part is when Reynold poured caramel onto the dish. It slowly melted and revealed the rabbit hole.

The main elements of Down The Rabbit Hole dessert are dulce diplomat cream, vanilla caramel, dark chocolate log and branch, white chocolate discs, matcha soil, pistachio sponge, lime yogurt foam and chocolate spray.

The Passion Flower

This stunning dessert is another creation of the pressure test. Made by chef Derren Purchese, it was loved by all the judges. Made with 12 elements and 31 steps, the stunning passion flower gained a lot of appreciation from the audience as well. The main highlight of the dish was when the hot sauce is poured into the bowl to surround the collar and the flower gently opens.

The main elements of this treat are passion fruit centre, sesame tuile, coconut sponge, coconut mousse, passion fruit curd, coconut jelly, passion fruit jelly, violet passion fruit flower, chocolate anthers, chocolate flower (along with decorations) and coconut, lime and vanilla sauce.

Chocolate Mousse Sphere

Chocolate mousse sphere with raspberry gel and coconut crumbs is a delicious and beautiful dessert that won the heart of every audience. The perfect mousse and centered chocolate gel was a part of Dessert Round Eliminations and the contestants had to showcase their best dishes for a chance to return to the competition.

This delightful dessert was the creation of Charlie Sartori, and he surprised the judges with the surprising and complementary flavors. The dish was prepared by combining a delectable chocolate mousse with toasted coconut crumb, rosemary salt, raspberry gel and chocolate coating along with the garnish of fresh raspberries and fennel fronds.

Chef Anna Carrot cake

This dessert can be a gift from heaven for all carrot cake lovers. Created by chef Anna Polyviou’s, this treat was a part of MasterChef Australia pressure test where the home cooks took the challenge to recreate this intensely complex dessert. Chef Anna’s carrot cake has the perfect icing and all the thirteen elements in the dish are perfectly balanced.

The delicious flavors along with cream added to the cake hits your tastebuds differently with its sweet note. This beautiful and vibrant carrot cake had an apricot and carrot sorbet, apricot insert, rice bubble disc, carrot cake crumble, praline cremeux, caramel glaze, cream cheese foam, caramelized walnut crumble, candy carrot strips, graffiti, chocolate discs and baby celery leaves.

Forbidden Fruit

This "Forbidden Fruit" dessert was a masterpiece of pastry chef Reynold Poernomo. It was basically a chocolate mousse hidden within a cocoa butter-coated raspberry coulis which was surrounded by raspberries, strawberries, and chocolate soil. In this episode the judges were stunned by the creation, and they enjoyed the intense flavors, right balance, and amazing presentation of this gorgeous dish.

The main elements of this forbidden fruit dessert are mousse made with 70% dark chocolate, raspberry sorbet, soil consisting of almonds, gram flour, cocoa and egg yolk, ganache, chocolate coating, twigs and garnish of raspberries, strawberries, mint leaves and nasturtium flowers.
