Here’s How You Can Make These 5 Minute No Bake Desserts

Are you tired of having to give up on ‘taste’ for the sake of ease while preparing desserts? If you are like most foodies in the world who always find the best desserts to eat but aren't exactly in favor of the intense labor that goes behind making them, then these 5 minute no bake desserts are perfect for you.

These are also ideal for individuals juggling multiple tasks all the time. Having no time in your hands, or choosing to not spend a lot of your hours in the kitchen is now no longer going to prevent you from indulging in baking.

All these recipes recommend using easily available ingredients and have simple instructions. Further, they are also pretty versatile, so you can refer to these as guides and easily switch around the ingredients with those you prefer. In case you want to make them healthier, you may also want to incorporate fresh and dry fruits, nuts and seeds (like chia, pumpkin or flaxseeds) into these recipes. Most importantly though, even though the recipes are quick and easy, you can store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Peanut Butter Banana Bites:

Ingredients:

  • 251 gm bananas (very ripe)
  • 32 gm peanut butter
  • 14 ml honey
  • 63 gm oats
  • A pinch of salt
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Method:

  1. Peel your overly ripe bananas and mash them up in a bowl.
  2. After that, you just have to pour honey and peanut butter into the bananas, and with a spoon, mix everything very well.
  3. For the crunch and slight saltiness, incorporate your oats into the sticky banana mixture, followed by a sprinkling of salt.
  4. Once the mix has come together, roll them into small balls. You can leave them as is or roll around the balls in chocolate sprinkles until they are entirely coated.
  5. Refrigerate them for a few hours before serving.

To make a gourmet version of the Peanut Butter Banana Bites that you can serve at formal gatherings, replace the peanut butter with pistachio butter and white chocolate, and then roll the balls in a tray of roasted and crushed pistachios and icing sugar.

Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 151 gm avocado
  • 32 gm cocoa powder
  • 33 gm brown sugar
  • 124 ml cream
  • 3 ml vanilla extract

Method:

  1. De-seed and peel an avocado first, and then mash it up with a fork or in a food processor, depending on the ripeness of your fruit.
  2. Once done, you need to mix the mashed avocado with brown sugar, vanilla extract and cocoa powder.
  3. Then, pour heavy cream into the mixture, and give everything a good stir.
  4. Transfer them into individual cups and garnish with a few pieces of avocado on top. You can consume them as they are, or chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours before digging in.

Mango Coconut Cream Parfait

This recipe heroes two of the most beloved tropical fruits – mango and coconut. It is one of those easy at home desserts that has the appearance of a gourmet dessert, which means if you are planning a house party, this dessert can be made in large batches and stored in your refrigerator for up to two weeks before the party.

Ingredients:

  • 251 gm coconut cream
  • 122 gm mango puree
  • 33 gm refined sugar
  • 14 ml lime juice
  • 35 gm coconut flakes

Method:

  1. You have to first puree a whole mango after you have de-seeded it.
  2. Then, you need to mix the mango puree with sugar and coconut cream.
  3. Next, you are going to add in a few drops of lime juice, and then pour the concoction into individual cups.
  4. Because the parfait uses softer ingredients like coconut cream and mango, the parfait would need to be in the blast freezer for at least a few hours to harden to an ice cream texture.
  5. You can also refrigerate the ramekins for 10 minutes before pouring the ice cream anglaise to kickstart the cooling process, and top them with coconut flakes before serving.

Lemon Berry No-Bake Energy Bites

Ingredients:

  • 251 gm oats
  • 122 gm assorted dried berries
  • 33 gm lemon curd
  • 14 gm honey
  • 2 gm lemon zest

Method:

  1. For the first step, you have to combine berries, oats, lemon, curd, and honey all together.
  2. You can choose to add lemon zest, but this step is optional because the recipe already gets its acidic hit from the berries.
  3. You have to then roll the crumbly mix and shape it into individual rectangular bars.
  4. After refrigerating for 15 minutes, you are free to enjoy these bite-sized lemon energy bites.
