The best part — it’s surprisingly easy to make (you can also make it well ahead of time!), you just need 35 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 115 gm butter
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 170 gm Cadbury dark chocolate
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 large egg yolks (room temperature)
  • 50 gm sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 232°C. Butter and lightly flour four cake ramekins.
  • In a medium saucepan, add water covering a depth of 1-inch. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low so that it simmers.
  • In a separate bowl, combine chocolate and butter and set it over the saucepan containing the simmering water. Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Stir the chocolate-butter mixture until the two have melted and turned smooth. This should take about 16-20 minutes. Once melted, set the bowl aside.
  • In an electric mixer, beat eggs, egg yolks, sugar and salt for 2-3 minutes until you arrive at a thick, pale mixture.
  • Give your melted chocolate mixture a quick whisk and pour it into the egg mixture along with the flour. Fold to combine the mixture well.
  • Pour the mixture into the ramekins and smooth the top using a spatula. Place the ramekins onto a baking sheet and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 9-12 minutes.
  • Once baked, let the ramekins cool for about a minute.
  • Unmold the cakes onto a dessert plate and serve.
