Not to worry, for we’ve got you covered with these no-bake recipes that uses readily available ingredients that are perfect for the occasion. With these no-bake desserts for Mother's Day, the kitchen will be a less of a mess with lesser utensils to clean as well. Here are a few recipes for you to try:
1. Panna Cotta
(Makes 6 servings)
Ingredients:
- ⅓ cup skim milk
- 1 pack unflavored gelatin
- 2 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Pour the milk into a small bowl, then sprinkle the gelatin over it. Stir to mix and set aside.
- Take a saucepan, add the heavy cream and sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally as it comes to a boil.
- Immediately stir in the gelatin mixture into the hot cream. Keep stirring until dissolved and cook for 1 minute.
- Take the pan off the heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour the cream mixture into 6 small ramekins. Let it cool uncovered, for 30 minutes.
- Once cool, cover each of them with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate the panna cottas for 4-6 hours for them to set.
2. Chocolate Mousse

(Makes 7 servings)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Cadbury Bournville 50% Dark Chocolate, chopped and chilled
- 5 tbsp boiling water
- 4 large eggs, separated and divided
Instructions:
- Add the chopped chocolate into a blender and run it until ground.
- Then pour the boiling water into the blender and mix until the chocolate is melted.
- Next, add the egg yolks, one at a time, blending after each addition
- Transfer to a mixing bowl and set aside.
- Take the egg whites in a mixing bowl and whip them until stiff peaks form. Fold the whipped egg whites into the chocolate bowl.
- Pour the ready mousse into serving glasses and chill in the frige, until set, 2-3 hours.
3. Vanilla Pudding

(Serves 5)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Pour the milk in a medium saucepan and heat it over medium flame.
- Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in a small bowl.
- Once the milk starts to bubble at edges, add the contents of the small bowl, to the hot milk, bit by bit. Keep stirring until it’s thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Once thick, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
- Spoon the vanilla pudding equally among 5 serving dishes.
- Chill the pudding for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator before serving.
4. Oreo Truffles

(Makes 42 pieces)
Ingredients:
- 2 packs of semisweet baking chocolate
- 12 Oreos, divided
- 1 pack cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
- Take a thick-bottom saucepan, melt the chocolate on low heat, stirring occasionally.
- While the chocolate melts, finely crush 9 of the Oreos and transfer them into a bowl.
- Add the rest of the cookies to the blender, finely crush them and add them to a larger bowl. Add in the cream cheese and mix to blend.
- Roll this cream cheese-Oreo crumb mixture into 42 balls.
- Dip each ball into the melted chocolate with the help of two forks, to fully coat them.
- Lift the balls with both forks and let the excess chocolate drip off.
- Place the ready truffle on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the surface with the and sprinkle them with the crumbled Oreo cookies, to decorate them.
- Refrigerate the truffles until they are firm, for at least 1 hour.
5. Ice Cream in a Bag

Ingredients:
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups ice
- 1/3 cup salt
- Toppings of your choice
Instructions:
- Add half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla in a small resealable plastic bag and get rid of excess air and seal.
- In a much larger resealable plastic bag, add the ice and salt. Put the small bag inside the bigger bag and shake well for 7-10 minutes
- Once the ice cream has hardened, remove it from the bag. Scoop it into ice cream cups, top it with toppings of your choice.
6. Granita
Ingredients:
- 150 gm icing sugar
- 350 gm frozen blackberries
- 250 gm ice cubes
- Whipped cream, to serve
Instructions:
- Add the icing sugar, blackberries and ice cubes into a blender. Process them until the whole thing is icy.
- Scrape down the sides halfway through.
- Once it reaches a rough shaved ice consistency, scoop into dessert glasses and serve with cream or syrup.
