When it comes to eating well you have to include all major food groups in your diet, and that doesn’t mean completely eliminating desserts. Because what is life without something sweet in it? Here are some easy sweet recipes that you can dig into before you brush your teeth and call it a night. We promise that they will help you sleep well because they’re packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!
Chocolate Chia Pudding
Ingredients:
- 60 gm chia seeds
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp Cadbury Cocoa Powder
- 240 ml almond milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 apple
Instructions:
- Mix chia seeds, cinnamon, and Cadbury Cocoa Powder in a bowl.
- Then add almond milk and maple syrup. Let this mixture sit for a while and thicken.
- If you want a smooth texture, blend the soaked mixture.
- Thinly slice the apple and layer it into a bowl, then add a bit of the chia seed pudding.
- Then add the sliced apples, followed by the chia pudding. Let this sit in the fridge for a couple of hours.
- Enjoy this sweet and healthy dessert before bedtime.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Bites
Ingredients:
- 120 gm crunchy peanut butter
- 2 scoops vanilla or chocolate protein powder
- 60 mg ground flaxseed
- 30 gm rolled oats
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (adjust to liking)
- 30 ml melted coconut oil
- 30 gm chocolate chips
- 30 ml almond milk
Instructions:
- First combine the melted coconut oil with a scoop of protein powder of your choice. Create a thin layer of this in a shallow baking dish. Refrigerate.
- In another bowl, combine the other protein powder scoop, ground flaxseed, oats, and maple syrup until you get a dough.
- Spread this dough over the coconut oil layer.
- Then melt the chocolate chips and almond milk together. Combine until well mixed.
- Pour this over the oats layer and pop the dish in the refrigerator.
- Once the top layer is set, cut into bars and enjoy. Store these in the fridge.
Freezer Fudge
Ingredients:
- 240 ml coconut oil
- 120 gm almond butter or peanut butter
- 1-2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
- 60 g finely chopped Cadbury Bournville 70% Dark Chocolate
Instructions:
- Heat the coconut oil and chopped chocolate, and mix well.
- Then add the almond butter too in another microwave safe bowl, and add into the coconut oil and chocolate mix.
- Finally, mix in the chocolate protein powder. Ensure everything is completely mixed.
- Transfer this mixture into a shallow glass dish and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
- Once set, cut into cubes. You can also garnish it with some sea salt flakes for a fancy touch.
Chocolate Avocado Mousse
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 60 gm Cadbury Cocoa Powder
- 60 g melted Cadbury Bournville 70% Dark Chocolate
- 3-4 tbsp non-dairy milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 60 ml maple syrup (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave until smooth and silky.
- Scoop out the ripe avocado flesh and put it in a food processor along with the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend until smooth, creamy, and airy.
- Chill before enjoying it.
