We are diving into the velvety world of chocolate desserts that are so simple, you might just find yourself whipping them up between commercial breaks! Grab your aprons and let’s get ready to indulge in some chocolatey goodness.

1. Choco-Lava Mug Cake

There is literally no human being who does not enjoy a delicious Choco Lava Cake. But, this recipe is a shortcut to make your favorite chocolate dessert in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 30 gm all-purpose flour
  • 30 gm granulated sugar
  • 15 gm cocoa powder
  • 1.5 gm baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 45 ml milk
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 1.5 ml vanilla extract
  • 20 gm Cadbury Bournville Dark chocolate (for that gooey center)

Procedure:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. This is your dry mix, so remember to keep it light and fluffy!
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir it until the mixture turns smooth. 
  3. Now, break the Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate into small pieces and gently press them into the center of the batter. This is the secret to your molten magic!
  4. Microwave on high for 40-60 seconds. Keep an eye on it, just in case you don’t burn your lava cake. If it puffs up and seems to be about to overflow, it’s ready.
  5. Let it cool for a few moments, then dig in with a spoon. Watch the chocolate lava flow, and let the deliciousness commence!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries are such a classic dessert snack, that we can hardly think of any other fruit when it comes to the matter of dipping it in chocolate for a tasty dessert treat. Let’s break that stereotype by making what is potentially the quickest of the easy chocolate desserts

Ingredients:

  • 150 gm  Cadbury Bournville Dark chocolate
  • Fruits of your choice: Apricot (2 or 3), bananas (2), or apple slices (1 large)

Procedure:

  1. Start by melting the Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate. You can do this using a double boiler or in the microwave. If using the microwave, heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. We don’t want any burnt chocolate here!
  2. While the chocolate is melting, wash and prepare your fruit. Pat them dry, so that they are not slippery.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, dip each piece of fruit into the chocolate, letting any excess drip off. You can go half-dip or fully coat. This is your dessert, customize it however you want. 
  4. Place the chocolate-dipped fruit on a parchment-lined tray. For an extra twist, sprinkle some sea salt, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut on top before the chocolate sets.
  5. Chill them in the fridge for about 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens. Now you’ve got a stunning dessert that’s as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy!

3. Chocolate Bark with Nuts and Dried Fruit

Chocolate bark with nuts and dried fruit is a delicious blend of rich chocolate, crunchy nuts, and naturally sweet dried fruits, perfect for a quick indulgence. This versatile treat can be customized with your favorite toppings, making it a delightful snack for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gm Cadbury Bournville Dark chocolate
  • 50 gm Nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts) (chopped)
  • 50 gm Dried fruit (e.g., cranberries, apricots) (chopped)
  • A sprinkle of sea salt for that gourmet finish

Procedure:

  1. Melt the Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate using the same method as before in a double boiler or microwave. The choice is yours.
  2. Once melted, pour the chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking tray, spreading it out evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped nuts and dried fruit over the chocolate while it’s still warm, pressing them in gently. If you wish to add your favorite cereal or toasted oats for an added crunch or a healthy touch to your dessert, you are most welcome to do so. 
  4. Finish with a light sprinkle of sea salt. Now, let it cool at room temperature or pop it in the fridge until hardened.
  5. Once set, break it into pieces and enjoy your homemade chocolate bark masterpiece! This bark can be stored in the refrigerator but does not have a long shelf life.
