Classic yet versatile, refreshing yet indulgent, these ice cream desserts are your golden ticket to an ice cream wonderland. If you want to add something extra for desserts along with the surprise birthday cake for your husband on his special day, try these ice cream desserts.

1. Ice cream crepe cake

Ever wondered what a high-fashioned ice creme dessert will look like? The ice cream crepe cake dessert is the answer. Stack some 20 layers of crepes with ice cream and turn it into a dessert of sophistication.

Ingredients:

  • 150 gm all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs (or 180 ml plant-based milk alternative)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 30 gm butter, melted
  • 15 ml vanilla extract
  • 50 gm sugar
  • 500 gm strawberry ice cream

Procedure:

  • Start the process by making the crepe batter. For that, whisk flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth. Make sure the batter of the crepe will be slightly thinner for easy spread. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In a heated non-stick pan add oil. When the oil is warm, pour a small amount of batter into the pan and spread it thinly. Cook for at least 1-2 minutes. Make 15-20 crepes this way, depending on your desired height for the dessert.
  • Let the crepes cool down completely.
  • In the serving dish, lay one crepe. Over that, spread a thin layer of the strawberry ice creme. Then top it with another crepe.
  • Repeat the layer until you reach the final piece of crepe. At the top layer spread a thicker layer of ice cream.
  • Keep the stack of the crepe cake in the fridge for two hours at least. You can add some whipped cream and chopped strawberries to garnish before serving the ice cream dessert.

2. Affogato with a Twist

The Italians blessed us with the affogato, but here’s the twist: we’re taking the espresso-drowned dessert to the next level by switching up the flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 100 ml Caramel ice cream (2 scoops)
  • 50 ml Freshly brewed espresso
  • 30 ml Chocolate liqueur
  • 25 gm Crushed biscotti

How to Make It:

  • Place your ice cream scoops in a shallow bowl or fancy shot glass.
  • Pour the hot espresso over the ice cream, watching it melt into creamy perfection. The ice cream will gently melt by the warmth of the coffee.
  • If you want to make it more special, add the chocolate liqueur for a boozy surprise.
  • To garnish, sprinkle the crushed biscotti for a crunchy texture.
  • Sip and scoop this blissful concoction.
