Directions
Measure the ingredients: Cadbury Cocoa Powder, AP flour, baking soda, caster sugar and salt.
Mix the ingredients in one bowl and set aside.
Grease and line two 6-inch round pans with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 180°C.
Measure the ingredients: vegetable oil, coffee water, vanilla extract and vinegar.
Add these ingredients to the dry mixture and whisk until incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared pans. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cakes comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool for 5-10 minutes before taking them out of the pan, then cool on a wire rack.
Trim off the top of the cakes if they are domed. Cut each cake horizontally, into two parts, if desired.
Measure the ingredients: Cadbury Cooking Block Dark shavings, cherries and whipping cream.
Whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
Place a cake board on the turntable. Place one cake on it. Spread some cream on the cake and add a few cherries. Repeat with the other layer/s.
Place the last layer and spread more cream on its sides and top. Smoothen using a palette knife.
Gently place the Cadbury Cooking Block Dark shavings on the sides of the cake.
Decorate the cake in the manner you desire with more cream and cherries on top. Cool the cake for 30 minutes and done!
