1. BTS Banana Milk Chocolate Mousse

BT' Jungkook's Banana Milk was a craze before the K-pop giant openly embraced alcohol on set. The K-pop star often sipped away at banana milk during shoots and shows. Here's how you can incorporate the star and fan favorite into a regular mousse:

Serving Size: 1 Mousse per person.

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions:

  • In a medium bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the milk, heavy cream, and sugar.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Fold the melted chocolate into the banana mixture.

Ingredients:

  • 150 gm all-purpose flour
  • 50 gm cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100 gm butter, softened
  • 200 gm sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 225 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring

Frosting:

  • 225 gm cream cheese, softened
  • 100 gm butter, softened
  • 400 gm icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  • Alternately, add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Stir in the food coloring.
  • Scoop the batter evenly into the lined muffin cups.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, insert a toothpick in the center to check, it should come out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  • For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Gradually beat in the icing sugar and vanilla until smooth.

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 250 gm sugar
  • 150 gm of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 150 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 250 gm chocolate chips

Icing:

  • 150 gm butter, softened
  • 350 gm powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C, then grease a large baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Pour into the other bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, then add the chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before icing.
  • For the icing, whisk the butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Spread evenly over the cooled cake.
  • Slice and serve to guests

Ingredients:

    • 6 ramekins or small baking dishes

For the cake batter:

    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
    • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)
    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1/6 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    • A few drops of pink food coloring

For the filling:

  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1/2 tbsp milk

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease 6 ramekins or small baking dishes.
  • Make the cake batter as before by whisking dry ingredients and then mixing in wet. Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins.
  • Make filling and place a spoonful in the center of the batter in each ramekin.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving in ramekins.
