Ingredients:

For the cake:

  • 240 gm wheat flour
  • 60 gm Bournvita
  • 60 gm white sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 240 ml warm water
  • 1/2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 45 ml vegetable oil

Bournvita frosting:

  • 120 ml milk
  • 1/2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Bournvita
  • 1 tbsp choco chips

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease your cake tin with some vegetable oil.
  • Sift wheat flour, baking soda and salt together first. Then powder the sugar and Bournvita until it's fine. Add this to the dry ingredients.
  • Put the dry ingredients along with the warm water, vanilla essence, vegetable oil, and vinegar in a food processor and blend well.
  • Transfer the cake batter into the prepared cake tin and bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool down and start preparing the Bournvita frosting.
  • Heat the milk along with cornflour, sugar, and Bournvita. Whisk so you incorporate everything completely.
  • Simmer and let the liquid thicken slightly, then add the choco chips. If you only want the taste of Bournvita, eliminate the choco chips and add more powder.
  • Let the frosting come down to room temperature too, then cover the cake with it. You can use sprinkles or any decorative silver balls as garnish.

Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp gelatin powder
  • 45 gm Bournvita

Instructions:

  • Heat about 2 teaspoons of water in the microwave and dissolve the gelatin powder in this. Let it cool down completely.
  • Meanwhile, beat the double cream until you get soft peaks. The cream should be chilled, so it does not split when you whip it.

  • Let it cool, then slice it into squares or diamonds.
