No speech can be so much fun when it comes to shows like Pink Panther, with limited characters and the merry pranks, so we took these characters, and had a little fun

From Pink Cake (Guess Who?) to Mexican desserts: Pink Panther characters as desserts

If the tune from the opening image did not get your head bobbing, what TV did you watch while growing up? The Pink Panther was one of those rare cartoons that had zero dialogue and yet was so much fun relying on practical jokes and foolish stunts to annoy the other character. All the pink big cat wants is to eat, sleep, and have fun, which he does when the supporting characters come in his way to disrupt his life or, heaven forbid, use the color blue to paint anything instead of pink. That's how comedy ensues and makes it so much fun to watch. So, we picked some of the cartoon characters and turned them into desserts!

1. Pink Cake – Pink Panther

He might be pink and bigger than the average housecat but he shares the same traits with them. He’s a big prankster and loves to stir up trouble for this character called the Big Nose until he’ll pull at his hair or run after him with a gun. A nice creamy pink cake is perfect for this pink cat, who is definitely an aging millennial. Remember that episode with the scientist out to shove his freshly constructed house off the hill? That is a major sign of him being one. He’s pink, he loves the color so much that he can’t be anything else but this pretty dessert.

2. Tres Leches – The Inspector

Why one of the best Mexican desserts for the inspector? Because the Pink Panther, no matter how sleek and a pain in the butt he is for Big Nose, poor Big Nose also deserves to catch a break. Plus the inspector’s name is Clouseau, which gives it a chic edge, like a French burglar chase, to the silliness of the Pink Panther and his antics. As for the Inspector, he’s definitely underpaid, as he’s a detective and a police officer, who overestimates his abilities and also intelligence. Luckily for him, the Pink Big Cat’s tomfoolery often solves his cases for him. For this simple stroke of luck, he deserves to be the rich, creamy, milky tres leches cake.

3. Donut – Big Nose

The name is absolutely apt for this character who is constantly bothered by the antics of Pink Panther and sometimes he’s the one causing the trouble for the feline. Big Nose used to be Little Man before, and he also has a dog. He plays different roles, but the animosity begins with him painting a wall blue while the panther swaps his blue paint for pink and continues to play pranks on the poor Big Nose sneakily. Big Nose plays many roles from a hunter to a scientist aside from the regular man who is constantly bothered by the big pink cat. He does take his revenge but how does one outdo a crafty cat? For this character, a simple donut is perfect.

4. Upside Down Pineapple Cake – The Dog

Every man needs his best friend and Big Nose has his Dog who is quite ferocious even though small with razor-sharp teeth like a piranha. He’s quite similar to a bull terrier and like his owner, Big Nose, lacks any color and looks like an uncolored 2D character with black lines sticking out like a freshly sketched character. Perhaps a little cat is hiding inside this dog, because like how an upside-down pineapple cake exists, the Dog also switches sides, not quite often, but he does that and instead barks and chases after Big Nose. That makes the upside-down pineapple cake perfect for this snarling character.

5. Pumpkin Pie – The Aardvark

While they aren't directly in the Pink Panther series, they are linked to the same universe if we go by the art style and other things. Instead of a cat and mouse chase, Aardvark is the blue anteater who keeps chasing a red ant, in a similar game to eat it. This one speaks just like the ant and because of his naive nature, he ends up with broken limbs and major injuries. The Aardvark has the feel of a spooky but tired old ghost haunting the pages of a yellowed-out horror book. For this character, thud, a pumpkin pie is perfect. Just like the pie is associated with the tale of haunting and greed, the Aardvark is also driven by his need to eat that one darn ant.

6. Brownie – The Ant

From Pink Cake (Guess Who?) to Mexican desserts: Pink Panther characters as desserts - Brownie

The typical mouse in a cat-and-mouse chase, the ant, called Charlie, is always running away from Aardvark the anteater who chases after him, with his snout making a funny vacuum cleaner noise. Charlie Ant has droopy, bedroom eyes like Dean Martin when he’s not freaking out with the anteater behind him. That automatically makes him a nutty walnut brownie for those dreamy eyes and surprisingly smooth voice despite being the one almost about to be eaten most of the time.
