Recipe of Milk Pudding
Ingredients:
- 2 cups full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1/3 cup sugar (adjust as per taste)
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Optional garnish (fruits, nuts, or syrup)
Method:
In a bowl mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup of milk, until it forms a smooth mixture. Let it stand. In a saucepan over a medium heat put the remaining amount of milk with condensed milk sugar and salt; stir continuously while heating, let the sugar fully dissolve.
Gradually pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan while stirring constantly. Continue cooking for about 5–7 minutes or until the mixture has thickened to a creamy consistency.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow the pudding to cool slightly.
Pour the pudding into serving bowls. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent a layer from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Top with a seasonal ingredient of choice before serving.
How to Pair Milk Pudding with Seasonal Toppings for a Perfect Dessert
Mango & Saffron Drizzle

This is one of the richest pairings with mango and milk pudding. Use ripe Alphonso or Kesar mangoes, diced or pureed, and drizzle with saffron-infused syrup. The natural sweetness of mango complements the creaminess of the pudding, while the saffron adds a royal touch.
Caramelized Bananas & Sesame Seeds
Bananas gain a whole new dimension when caramelized. Cut up ripe bananas, fry them with a small amount of jaggery or brown sugar till golden brown and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over them. The sesame seeds add warmth and crunch to the soft pudding.
Pomegranate & Honey

Pomegranate seeds bring a burst of freshness that contrasts beautifully with the silkiness of milk pudding. Drizzle with raw honey for a natural sweetener that enhances the dish without overpowering it.
Guava Chutney & Roasted Peanuts
Chop up some sweet and tart ripe pink guavas into a chutney, spoon it over chilled pudding, and top with some roasted and crushed peanuts for a nutty contrast. This is an unexpected mix of flavors that tastes delicious.
Fig & Date Compote
Cooked slowly in a little water with cinnamon, the figs and dates become rich and flavorful in a compote that can top a creamy pudding. Natural caramel notes from dates complement this sweet dessert so nicely.
Jamun & Mint Syrup
Crush ripe jamuns and mix with a bit of sugar and fresh mint. The slight tanginess of jamun pairs wonderfully with milk pudding, while the mint adds a refreshing lift.
Toasted Coconut & Jaggery Drizzle

This pudding comes topped with golden-brown shredded coconut for a contrasting crunch and with a caramel sweetness from melted jaggery for a comforting and satisfying dessert.
