Vegan Desserts That Are Both Healthy and Delicious to Whip Up at Home

‘Healthy’ and lip-smacking sweet treats do not have to be mutually exclusive. Yes, you heard that right. Now you can make vegan desserts, without any unnecessary hassle. These are all healthy, tasty desserts without milk, and are largely allergen-free. You are sure to love each of them, and your body will thank you for investing in it with all the right ingredients and not running to the next trending cafe serving the “viral” vegan dessert online. After all, nothing beats the warmth of homemade desserts.

1.Chocolate Chia Pudding:

Ingredients:

  • 122 gm chia seeds
  • 243 ml water
  • 22 gm cocoa powder
  • 23 gm maple syrup
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh fruits

Method

  1. Take a fairly small-sized bowl and in it, add water, maple syrup, salt, cocoa powder, chia seeds, and your vanilla extract. You can then fold all these ingredients gently.
  2. After this, all you have to do is prop this mixture into the refrigerator and leave it for the whole night because, during this interim, the chia seeds will form a thick, delicious custard-like texture.
  3. The next morning, take the pudding out, top it off with some fresh fruits, and enjoy it as your tasty and healthy breakfast.

If you are in the mood to experiment a little more, you can even use interesting flavors like matcha or zested lemon in the pudding.

2.Berry Sorbet:

Ingredients:

  • 253 gm mixed berries (blueberries and raspberries taste fantastic together)
  • 57 gm sugar
  • 55 ml water
  • 16 gm lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt

Method

  1. As the first step, you can let modern technology do the work for you by combining the berries, water, lemon juice, sugar, and salt in an electric blender. But make sure you are mixing these ingredients until the concoction is smooth.
  2. Next, you have to take this slightly thick mixture and pass it through a strainer in order to remove the seeds.
  3. Technology will come to your aid once more in the next step when you take this mixture and put it into your ice cream maker. Please ensure that you follow the instructions in the manual to churn it well.
  4. Your sorbet will be ready and once it is, scoop it into cups and enjoy it immediately before it starts to melt!

In your sorbet, a pineapple or a tropical fruit will do wonders for that punch of fresh flavor.

3.Banana ‘Nice’ Cream:

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 ripe bananas
  • 17 gm peanut butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • Nuts or fruits as toppings

Method

  1. You need to pick those ripe bananas up from your tabletop, peel them, and freeze them for at least three hours.
  2. Then, you have to make a smooth puree of the frozen bananas until it is of a creamy consistency.
  3. Your kitchen ingredients are your essential playground, so you can add in a dash of peanut butter and blend it along with the frozen bananas.
  4. While it is unbelievable, your healthy dessert is ready to be served in no time, with some almonds, walnuts, or fresh-cut fruits.

A pinch of cinnamon powder or 1 tbsp of honey can help elevate the overall flavor of this dish.

  • 255 gm steel-cut oats
  • 152 gm dates
  • 55 gm almond butter
  • 32 gm maple syrup
  • A pinch of salt

Method

  1. You need to first remove the seeds from the dates, prop them all into a blender or a food processor, and bring the consistency to a fine paste.
  2. Next, take a bowl into which you are going to add the blended dates, oats, almond butter, maple syrup, and salt.
  3. The next step is the fun part where you can use your hands to mix all the ingredients together, and then create whichever easy or cute shape you please.
  4. Once you're happy with your shapes, place them on a tray that has already been lined with baking paper.
  5. Your hard work ends here because now you have to put this tray into the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  6. That's about it! You can enjoy these quick and easy energy bits for up to 5 days if they are stored in the refrigerator.
