Servings
Dry ingredients:
- 1½ cup flour
- 1¼ cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ cup Cadbury Cocoa Powder, sifted
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 small packet Oreo Cookies
Wet ingredients:
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- ½ cup buttermilk OR ½ cup milk and add 1 tsp of vinegar, if you do not have buttermilk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
For the chocolate ganache:
- ⅓ cup Cadbury Dairy Milk
- ⅓ cup fresh cream
Others:
- Edible sprinkles, optional
Directions
FOR THE CUPCAKE:
Add all dry ingredients into a bowl making sure that the Cocoa powder is sifted to avoid lumps and whisk it thoroughly till there are no more streaks. Add all the wet ingredients and whisk it together thoroughly.
Pour the wet Ingredients into the dry mix and combine well till the flour dissolves.
Add crushed Oreo Cookies into the batter.
Fill the Cupcake liners to about three quarters of the way full and pop it in the pre heated Oven at 160 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Note - The cupcake is cooked when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
FOR THE GANACHE:
To make the ganache, you need a ratio of 1:1 Cream to Chocolate.
Chop the chocolate finely and place it in a heat proof bowl and heat cream on the stovetop until just simmering. (If it is boiling, the cream is too hot and could separate or even burn the chocolate. Once you see little simmers around the edges, turn off the heat and immediately pour the warm cream over the chocolate.
Let it sit for about 5 minutes before stirring, giving time for the Chocolate to melt, then stir slowly until smooth.
Once the cupcake is done, drizzle the Chocolate Ganache on top and sprinkle some edible sprinkles.
